Gamevice for iPhone Revealed, iPad Air Model Coming in October 2015

I've been putting the iPad Mini Gamevice through its paces – it had been in my bag while I was traveling for a few and a half weeks, and I'll employ a full report on it soon. But for individuals who don't have an iPad Mini, there's usually Gamevice hardware for the iPad Air and another for all 4 iPhone 6 models: iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone 6s Plus. The iPhones 6 models are destined to be actually quite different, in this the rubber part that connects both the parts of the controller will fold together for easier storage and portability. Apparently this may support the regular 6 and 6 Plus sizes a single size of hardware. Meanwhile, the full-size iPad model will be needing a new pair of hardware. Here's what the iPhone Gamevice appears to be:

The iPad Air Gamevice will be available in October, along with the iPhones 6 model are going to be available in Q4 2015, etc as the iPad Mini version all will likely be $99.99.

  • NOEN I'm looking towards getting my grubby lil hands around one of them.
  • iAjent I've already got a MOGA Rebel, but I've heard excellent things regarding the iPad mini Gamevice. If this happens to get just as good then I could possibly be convinced to secure a second MFi controller.
  • Steve Green I love the style but hate the charge.
  • Dankrio I might get one for Ipad Air.
  • mastergimmpy Instabuy to the iPhone 6 version!
  • zergslayer69 Strange question but would it be possible to attach a mfi controller and have it use apps that normally use btstack? Emus as an example. Or is it strictly mfi and that is certainly it?
  • jgeirge Emus utilize the MFi framework for starters; so wired or BT it'll work
  • zergslayer69 Oh they certainly? Neat. Was concerned with the mame one as which was not updated in forever.
  • Marvin Sounds like a great idea for TouchArcade deals! I know it isn't more likely to happen but this looks great.
  • Pivi Hmmm, maybe it's finally time to buy a controller for my iPhone6.

  • Aaron C I must say the gamevice should be the best MFi controller I've tried, I'd recommend it to anyone!
  • zergslayer69 Sounds such as you own one. How's the dead zone throughout the sticks? Seems a big majority of these mobile controllers have huge dead zones. And how's the dpad? Mushy? Clicky?
  • Aaron Yeah I do, been with them for 2 weeks now. I've not really noticed the deadzones in play in truth, that should be the best thing, it feels as being similar to my xbox controller. The dpad is throughout the clickier side definitely, again the perfect comparison I could develop is surely an Xbox controller.

The main thing that comes across are these claims is a 'real' controller, and only melts away causing you to get to enjoy the adventure. With the other controllers I've tried, whilst some are extremely good, you will still feel a lot like it's a gimmic rather than serious piece of kit. Everything has been so attractive as well, no shonky attachments or dodgy triggers, and there is no shortage of nice touches as a possible extra long charging cable (which also charges your ipad while it's plugged in), a headphone jack or anything else.

If you cannot notice a dead zone issue that's good, means there isnrrrt really one. I hope you mean clicky dpad like xbox one ever since the 360 dpad will be bad and mushy.

How could be the face buttons? Are they really loud? Like across the moga power for android, the eye buttons are abnormally loud when you press them.

Glad you wish it overall. When this was originally announced, that it was the controller I was anticipating. The buttons do seem really spaced miles away to the sides though. On the ipad air, I imagine we'll be expecting the controls being parallel for ones shoulders or anything.
